Although a little pricey for a utility knife, this knife is a perfect addition to a starter set (I have the set #8832, includes chefs, bread, sandwich, parer, stick and shears). It cuts tomatoes and bagels like butter. It is one that you will reach for for those jobs that require delicate cutting (such as sausage without tearing the skin) without having to go for the more substantial knives.Strongly recommend as addition to a set which doesn't have this knife.

Designed much like a tomato knife, this serrated knife will cut into food with crusty or hard outsides and soft insides while leaving everything intact. This technology allows for an exacting edge from the tip of the knife down to the heel of the knife. With this newer precision, the knives are made sharper to 14 degrees per side for a total of 28 degrees.
